IIRC, Dave-TS had one fitted in his previous bug eye. Can't have been that difficult! Thing you use the existing seat belt mounting points, just swap the existing bolts for eye bolts if you have a clip in harness

Yep, got 4 point Sabelts in my STi7.
They are NOT easy to fit.
5 point are a no no in a road car, 3 point do not fit properly at the rear so 4 point is the way to go.
Safety is paramount - in the event of an accident you do not want either a) to go flying through the screen with the belts flapping in the breeze behind you, or b) the seat back to collapse and compress your spine to half its length
Having put the frighteners on you, read on:

I have modified my original thinking about not fitting harnesses with OEM recliners - PROVIDING the pivot point at the top of the belts is your shoulders and NOT the bottom of the slots in the seat headrests.

Nah, not doing any track days this year as I realised paying £300 per day for track day insurance was a bit silly....i've now gone back to using other people's cars instead
Let me know if you are still likely to go ahead with the harnesses, and if so i'll post a pic up

Thats a very good point about the costs...
I reckon i'll do at least ten track days if i get the bug... which works out around £7k worth of costs to the car + the risk of a BIG crash.
For that money (and my IM warrenty) im going to buy a westie and have fun without worrying.
Big heavy track cars - big heavy costs!!
