RB5 wr sport (prodrive performance pack and high level prodive spolier) then yes it's worth it (at least i thought so)
standard rb5 (MY99 with a trim swop and a few bits and pieces)then i'm not so sure. Insurance wise you pay less for an rb5 than you would to mod a stansard car to the same spec.

My old wr sport is up for £15995 at the local dealer (i think!) that had 43k on it 99T

Is the "little extra" worth it to upgrade to a RB5 over the standard Turbo?

I'm looking at
1) 99T RB5, approx 30k miles, or
2) 00X Turbo, approx 20k miles.

Any ideas on what I should pay.

If you want exclusivity LTD edition car and a grey car buy the RB5 if you arent interested in that and its just a case of which is better then it has to be the MY00.

Wink

RB5 without question - just sold mine (99 'T' completely standard 17,500 miles, superb condition) for £15,000.00 paid £14,200.00 in February this year ! . Buy wisely and it should hold it's money as are more exclusive than standard Turbo which are flooding the classifieds.....

I was asking the same question a couple of weeks ago, the RB5 WR is a top motor but only the people on here will no that, plus u can't mod the rb5 as people only want minters in original condition, i went for a sti instead ,still got the performance & there's not that many about & u can still mod it a bit without knocking down your resale value to much.

I bought standard car spent 3K on extras and came to PX it and was offered £500 more than standard car.:O

Extras were Prodrive 17" alloys (gold)with P zeros
Air Con
Electric Glass roof

Then I bought an RB5 which has all the extras fitted as standard and I feel think that the car has held its value better than standard car because it is more exclusive.

Standard eq

= Blue Alcantara Seat trim (same as 22b)
Air Con
17" prodrive alloys
Prodrive Short Shift
PIAA driving lamps
RB5 Mats
Map reading lights
Colour coded sills, mirrors and door handles
Colour is Unique to RB5 (UK models)
Solid rear bulkhead

My RB5 will be for sale soon (19000 miles & 2 years Subaru warranty)as I will be getting a MY03 Sti

Cheers

Dave
