So it seems from another thread that the latest incarnation will be approx £24k and has adopted the looks of a baby Legacy. Which isn't a bad thing.
I personally will be considering the Mazda6 MPS, also due to come out spring next year and alleged to be priced around £21k.

So you're all struck dumb by the thought of a better value quality car, outdoing the Impreza in all areas. Would the Ford RS oojah still look good value if £21k is indeed the asking price?

Looks interesting, certainly...
however
"precise tyre-to-road contact" governed by 4WD? Wow, someone really bought the marketing bs hook, line, sinker, reel, rod and possibly fisherman on that site
This could be a real Q car tho. Definitely one to watch.
however
The result is an electronically controlled torque-split 4WD system that is suitable for high performance cars and gives precise tyre-to-road contact even at high revs.

One of the interesting things about the Mazda6 is that even with a decent power/torque it still meets the European emissions standards.
I wonder how long it will be now before Subaru do an Impreza that keeps the same engine power everywhere?

Some real pics
Read in Autocar today that the some of the design cues on the Mazda6 MPS concept might not make production, And the rear exhausts in the rear bumper will not make production.
