I'm sure we all know the service intervals on a UK Impreza MY94 - MY00 is 7,500 miles or 6 months, which ever is sooner.

My point is this, I'm in the market for a Scooby, so why are there so many people out there advertising their cars as FSH yet upon investigation, they just ain't.

Of the cars I've checked out, once the warranty period is over, they've gone to a yearly service interval, indeed one car I checked out went over a year between services, yet is was being sold with an all singing all dancing warranty. This was a plus point apparently yet read the small print and if the car hasn't been service accordingly, the warranty means nothing.

Has anyone else had this problem, or been duped by a misleading history.

I sort of agree, but what do you think about this then...

My wife drives our scoob every day to work. Its far enough to get nice and warm, but means that in 6 months she does less than 2,500 miles around the town, no thrashing and hardly any "spirited" driving.

We have had it for two years now, its an my96, and its gone from 44k to 53k, and so far had 3 services whilst in our care - 4th is due. Oil and filter I believe, nothing major. Exactly WHAT harm does it do to leave the oil in (good quality stuff as well!!!) for longer eh? As long as it hasnt done 10k on the same oil, does it matter ??? Surely the mileage between changes is more important.

Stil....Im GOING to get it done, cos Im that sort of chap. But I wanted to make the point that I dont think its unreasonable if I didnt.
