Two year sentence!

Hi gang,
Remember my bad day back in July?, please read on......"Just thought I'd share an incident that happened to me last night. Unfortunately I had to attend the Oldham a&e for treatment to a broken finger sustained as the result of a sporting accident.
Anyway to cut a long story short, I arrive at 15:30 and am still sat waiting at 21:00 (low priority injury, had to wait due to a massive influx of people involved in RTA. I decide I'd better let the missus know where I am so make my way across the car park to get mobile from car (hospital phone out of order).
As I'm walking back I feel someone grab me from behind, I turn to see two scally's, bobble hats, scarfs around faces, who then demand keys for the Scoob.
First reaction is to give them the keys, but then, in a split second, having unconsiously weighed up the opposition, god knows what I was thinking but I planted a punch on the nearest one (with bad hand), who falls onto his backside. I immediately turn, and run towards the hospital lights unfortunately slipping and diving full length along the pavement, as I slide along on my hands and knees I manage to turn onto my back ready to reap the repercussions of my action. Luckily the two were running in the opposite direction at some pace to say the least!
Reported the incident to security who have footage of me swinging the punch and performing the swan dive but can't identify the culprits.
I now am in possession of a broken finger, scabby knees, elbows and a grazed chin, not to mention a shredded suit (thank god it was a Debenhams cheapy!)
The Outcome.......in a nutshell
A couple of days later a "gentleman" attended an A&E (not sure where) for treatment for a facial injury, (hospital have been briefed about the incident by the local constabulary), bobbies arrive, he fits description, they treat him for fractured jaw and eye socket!!, then arrest him. I attend line up, identify guy with football on side of face, he admits all, (colleague submits under duress). They go to court last week while I'm on hols.....2yrs in the clink for several offences including aggravated assault and going with intent not to mention the rest of the vehicle related offences they admitted to.
Cheers!
Nick.
p.s bring on Nasseem....

Blimey ... Nik, good to hear a story where police & justice worked for the better.
Mark the "police briefed the hospital" which made it all come together. Innocent sentence, but it means they took the time to provide the info to the hospital, and the hospital made sure internally that the key people were in the know.
Excellent.

Glad to hear they got what they deserved
Apparently they onwed up to 36 other offenses Nik's action just solved a mini crime wave
Looking at it cynically they probably decided thay they needed to bring their car nicking and burglary skills up to date and so a nice 2 year(1 year with good behavoir) car theft training course at her majesties expense will help them climb the criminal career ladder.
Seriously well done. Glad to hear you're keeping the scoob too

What bit makes you feel best - broken jaw or two years at our expense. I think NikB's form of justice applied across the board would save tax payers a fortune and make us all feel better into the bargin

Well Done! And it sounds like they were.
I wonder how close Nik was to being prosecuted for assaulting the scum?
I received a warning once when a complete moron deliberately knocked me off a motorbike. After bouncing 161 feet down the road (I wasn't breaking the Jersey speed limit), I got up and smacked the car driver around the head with my crash helmet. The first thing the police told me was "You're OK the driver isn't pressing charges for assault!"
Seriously well done. Sad that this sort of outcome is the exception these days.

Great to hear you came out of it on top.
Can't help thinking you were lucky. If you analyse the facts, which are backed up with video evidence, two people came up to you in a hospital car park, you assaulted one of them, causing grievous bodily harm and they fled in fear of their lives. If they had the intelligence to bring charges you have a very shaky case. Still I suppose it's natural selection at work.

I remember reading about this when it happened, I'm soooo pleased they caught the 'gentlemen', serves 'em right. Let's hope some 20 stone inmate takes a fancy to one (or both) of them now
Well done Nick

Nice one
Can you now take out a small claims court action for a new suit and for the pain and inconvenience your scabby knees caused you ?
Good to hear of the result going the right way for once

Absolutely brilliant, get a copy of the vid for posterity m8 and allow me to buy u a pint to commemorate the event.
In addition to all the obvious positives, there's an additional benefit. There are a few Scoobies parked around there and the owners will be a little more reassured/less intimidated.
Now u just need an address and a few mates for the welcome home party.

Well done!
Thank you for making Oldham a safer place. Please would you consider coming down to Northampton - we could do with people like you here, and all the local plod are interested in is speeding motorists.

I don't own an AK47, but I do have access to an armoury full of fully automatic assault rifles They don't even let the Police loose with fully automatics...
Maybe my squadron could gatecrash these scumbag's welcome home parties. "Honestly Sergeant major, I thought he was holding a bomb", "Yes Corporal, But that doesn't explain why he has 83,000 bullet holes in him..."
