Another dissatisfied customer of the Godspeed experience! Surely not

I hate to play this record over and over but.................never mind you will get your stuff (eventually) and believe me you will like what you get (if you get all of it!)

I also believe that the product will be excellent and looks like it is well made.

Unfortunately, however good the kit is my £500 is not well spent sitting in someone else's bank account for weeks with (very)minimal contact available with the supplier and only on their terms!.

However, my money is reputed to be on its way back as Mr Godney does not like the fact that I have complained at him (in private e-mails only) - I have had a painfull experience with this company and my story is a carbon copy of many others I have heard.

The only reason I have posted here is that I believe that other people should be warned prior to deciding whether to buy. I have tried in vain to resolve the matter privately, fairly and amicably before now.

That said, I did ignore the good advice of others on this board and ordered this kit all the same.

PGMabley - good luck getting everything sorted.

I'd just like to say that this thread is borderline being deleted for potential libel / slander issues. At present it is OK as all concerned have beeen careful how they have worded everything, but I will have to keep an eye on it, so please be careful.

Best regards

Simon

I've been considering getting a Godspeed kit and must admit that I'm not particularly put off by the experiences I read of on this board.

As far as I can tell Godspeed is a small company that have suddenly been thrust into limelight by exposure on Scoobynet. All at once a large proportion of his potential customer base have turned up on his doorstep looking to buy and I don't think he has the capacity to turn out the products in the time frame that people often expect nowadays. Business-wise, however, I believe Mr G would do well to spell out exactly how long delivery is going to take (realistically!) so people aren't left feeling “done”.

Everyone (that I've heard) who has one his kits rates them very highly. I am well aware, now, of delivery times on these kits so when I do order mine (when my wife stops being such a fascist) I’ll be able to cope with them not turning up the day after I order them.

Give the guy a break – if you’ve got issues with him deal with them offline or by email (PGM – I appreciate you’ve done that – why not leave it that rather than post it on here?), don’t go smearing his name all over this board.
If I started having a go at particular, popular scoob company’s (no names…) inability to deliver anything within the same calendar year as it was ordered (which I’m sorely tempted to do btw) I’d have a thousand Scoobynetters leaping to their defence (and there have been several threads like that). Like I said, maybe Mr G is overstretched, I don’t know. His name being dragged through the mud on here is probably the last thing he needs.

I have absolutely nothing to do with Godspeed.

Ronaldo - Godspeed produce brake upgrades and big disc conversions.

Simon De Banke

I understand if you lock/delete the thread - I have tried to be careful and fair (other than the original post when I was angry!) but feel that I was forced into it.

There are other issues that I have not and will not mention here that have led me to this (to the others that said I should not post here about this) - I agree that matters like this are best left off this board if at all possible.

I am not saying not to buy this product as I still believe it is very good and certainly good value for money - I have posted my views (I am not the only one with these views/experiences) for others to make their own decisions on purchase.

I would now like to put this one to bed - the end of the matter in my book as I've done what I feel I had to do!

To let people know , I had an order from Paul Mabely and made a mistake by sending his kit to someone who ordered after him , As he said he would give us a roasting on scoobynet with regards to this i thought it better to cancel his order and send his money back , He sent an email saying he would cancel his credit card cheque so before we sent him a cheque back we made sure he couldn't cancel his cheque and there fore having his money twice , Paul , I have not done any of this on purpose it was a genuine mistake made by us , If you wern't so threatening with your emails we would have supplied you , I thought it best not to do so sorry , Thanks , Ian

Well done to Ian for clarifying the situation.

There are always 2 sides to every story.

I'll close this thread now, and if there are still outstanding issues between Paul and Godspeed, they should now (IMHO) be dealt with directly and privately.

Best regards

Simon
