I'm with you John I don't like what they have done... I guess I might change my mind given time.
I even bough the MY01 but I would think twice looking at that!

That head-on shot is probably the worst PR shot I've ever seen. It's way, way too close to the front of the car, and consequently shows nothing of the flared arches etc.
Josh
Given the other shots, I still quite like it.

Should have got you to do the shots Josh!
I am interested to see what it looks like in the metal... at least then no one can photoshop it!

WRC car looks good though! Thing is, that additional bonnet duct appears to be discharging hot air out of the bonnet straight into the intercooler infeed duct!
Edited to say: I bet the intercooler is front mounted of course!

I have visited Prodrive and they explained that scoop on the WRC car is purely cosmetic, as the Intercooler is front mounted and the exit from it is the first vent on the bonnet. They dont even fit an STi7 scoop on just the Std small one to reduce drag.

Sideways,
Judging by the rate you change cars, you're going to need something to fill in the gap between your STi 7 and 8 as they won't be delivered until Feb....

For those who are interested, there's a video clip of its unveiling on MSN.
Lunchie
P.S. Think I need to see one in the flesh before I make up my mind whether I like it!

Well I like it and and I've ordered one in shiney black
IMHO the bug eye STi looks crap in pictures but is so much better in the flesh.
I'm sure it will be the same here as I agree with josh that the face on pic is awful, it just flattens all the lines (see side view of WRC)
Roll on January when you fuglies can drool over a *real* car
