All,

1000 mile service tomorrow at dealership. How do I make sure everything carried out properly? Have ***** footed around for last couple of weeks - don't want them making any cockups!

Unfortunatly cannot watch while work carried out - any advice??

ps which side is engine oil filter (so I can make sure it is swapped)

Its called faith!
You will get a receipt saying what work was carried out, a dealership wont face the wrath of IM if work isnt carried out to the correct standard (as they loose their franchise) so they will do it properly.

wait till u have the 12mth 2hr labour service that gets done in 1 hr but u still pay for 2hrs..i watched and timed it..im allow 2hrs for the service so thats what u get charged

Its 2 man hours, ie 2 men can do it in 1 hour, 4 in 30mins, etc.!!

That said, still pi$$es you off!!

had the bonus scheme explained to me ie they mechanic gets 2hrs does it in 1 thus does more jobs/more bonus.everyone wins except punter..only in never never land wld the garage put 2 people on servicing a car

Well, what can I say!

Courtesy car had petrol in it. Car ready when expected, oil level correct, car clean, no extra mileage, price as quoted and staff very helpfull...

Well done to Roy and team at Donalds of Peterborough.
