The Revised WRX MY03 ?
#1
Does anyone know what the timescale for the redesigned front of the WRX is ? When are they likely to reveal all ? any chance the WRX will get a power boost (bearing in mind the RS Focus is nearly here )

For goodness sake... you will have to wait until the Paris motorshow... how many more time!
Autocar "spy shots" = Photoshoped STi.
Chris L - I seriously doubt it now!

My post was in jest It is what I've done - certainly improves power delivery and torque.
BTW doesn't the new ECU adjust straight away if you put in SUL? So what would be the difference with this 'new' version?

Going back to your original question. Whatever the car looks like (take your pick from the photoshop) it is unlikely to hit the showrooms until early Spring. March 1st would probably be apt, me thinks!

That "official sketch" is the one I want (same as the yellow dodgy photoshopped one)
My money's going down 7th October if that's what it's going to look like (off to Paris the weekend before )
Anyone know why Subaru decided to only tint the back right window?
(edited to put piccy in)
(edited again cos I can't even type)

Well people, this is how the original looked before someone decided to take it as their own...http://www.apexjapan.com/rumours/new_sti/new_sti.html
It may look "official", but it was done by I very good artist by the name of Paul Hansen in Tokyo based on info from various magazines in Japan.

Not sure I like the 'blobeye' look of the sketch above. Guess we'll just have to see.
IMHO Subaru have bigger issues than bug or blob eyes at the moment.
The latest generation of hot hatches now give a standard WRX a run for their money, both in terms of outright pace and value for money. Subaru needs to do something to bring back the 'whoosh' on the standard car in order for it to distance itself from those 'upstart' hot hatches.
One could argue that the WRX PPP and STI do just that, but many people don't want to modify their car( ) and its the standard car the 'hot hatches' will be compared to.
I'd like to see the MY03 with the same power as the PPP'd WRX and the STI with the full 276 as delivered by the JDM.

Well aware that this has been done to death but exactly when does the show open (date and time (BST))?
At that moment I will start my stopwatch and see how long it is before the real picutures appear on here
I reckon 3 hours ish
Cheers

Focus RS
Clio Cup
Golf R32
Pug 206 GTi 180
Leon Cupra R
then stuff like
Mazda 6 (MP6 I think it's called)
Mazda RX8
Nissan 350Z
To be honest there isn't enough to differentiate the Scoob from the opposition (OK, it's 4WD but who -- apart from us -- cares about that?)

todays AUTOCAR has got pics of it and new fronted evo 7 round the nurburging doing testing. and its the same as the pic of the blue car, tho no clear rear lights. no photoshop this time, its the real thing.

Maybe Autocar's pic deserved a bit more comment yesterday.
Look at the rear shot - it's not got the clear lights, but it has got a small cutout either side below the foglight at the back, so the lights on it aren't the real ones. The clear ones previously shown in Auto Express were shaped to fill that cutout. Draw your own conclusion.
As for the front, the scoop in Autocar looks like a lash up. The lights have tape top and bottom to try to obscure their shape, though the top is quite clear anyway. The bottom appears to have a similar part-circular cut-out on the grille side, then flat for the rest of it.
