Hi all,
I need some help. I have just purchased a 2000 Turbo AWD with 6k on the clock from a dealer. I am totally new to the Impreza experience, but liked the car after being taken for a passenger ride in a friends P1 (i know not quite in the same league as a P1).
My question is this, my00 has 6 k on the clock, it has quickshift, 5 spoke wheels instead of the standard 6, and an STI middle and rear exhaust system, does the exhaust increase the power output? and how do I tell if it has PPP???
Please help as I am a scooby novice
Regards
Marc

I did a deal on it - then he offered me silly money for my import.
Bought a MY01 WRX from another dealer.
Thought it was a bit weird, they had a V plate MY99 with the 6 spoke wheels. The 5 spoke are older wheels, the 6 spoke are newer. Put it down to the previous owners taste.
The car is from Derby I believe. Not sure how it ended up in Ciren. Seemed ok though.
I don't believe it had any performance upgrades, apart from the exhaust, the dealer offered to swap out to standard if I wanted to. The exhaust may increase bhp marginally.
So expect to see you on the 419?

Extra 2k - but new shape, air con as standard, cd player, standard 17 inch alloys and its a wagon!!! Takes the baby's pushchair more comfortably, so the missus is happy.
Overall very pleased with it - would have preferred a saloon(for the kid
in me), but the wagon looks a bit more inconspicuous.
Picked up the x plate yet?

Hello,
I'm also from Ciren way (reddish blue my97). When i was looking at a scooby i popped into TH Whites.
Offered me a stupidly low trade in on my old Clio Williams 3 (4,000).
Went off to Simpsons and they offered me £7,700 so i bought a car from them, Simple.
Any way may be see you guys around Ciren way (usually on Friday afternoons)
Iain

nice one, wasn't too sure about the new shape at first, but growing to like it. I picked up the MY00 2 weeks ago, however spent 10 days in France, so only just started to drive it. Taking it steady though as I am a complete novice when it comes to turbo's, AWD extra having come from a Citroen Saxo VTS!!
So the x-plate is standard apart from the STI exhaust etc. What kind of BHP can i expect, or is that really a rolling road job in order to find out?

I'm no car techie - but standard + 2-3% at guess.
Iain - Simpsons seem to be very professional - did n't use them for mine, but have bought some bits and pieces from them. They had two UK300's in prep the other day, so expect to see them around Swindon soon.
