Dumb question maybe, but do WRXs' have a low fuel warning light ? I've got the needle close to empty a few times and a light has never appeared. Didn't want to risk running out so I re-fuelled. How close to empty can you go ?

My MY94 WRX will goto the middle bar of the E and then take just over 58 litres, very nearly empty. No warning light seen!!

I have definatly seen the low fuel warning light on my 98WRX STi R. When this light came on I had to do approxamatly 25 miles on the motorway before I reached services therefore I estimate about 1 gallon was left.

Well ... my fuel light came on last night and I drove for 50 <FONT COLOR="#00ffff">VERY </FONT> worried miles before I got to a petrol station and filled up with about 59 litres.

Mine is a 97 model. The dealer warned me (when I bought the car) that Subarus did not have low fuel warning lights up to that moment of time.

UK spec - MY97 did not have a fuel warning light. MY98/9 does. HTH, Mike.

I have a 98 Sti IV and my fuel warning light comes on at the middle bar of the "E". I drove another 5 miles and filled up with 48 litres (I presume the Sti has a 60 litre tank like the UK car). If it doesn't please let me know as I would hate to be driving around thinking I had more fuel than I actually did - could be very embarrassing.
