all these posts up about have you raced against a ferrari TT rs4 and the like how about a R1 or the like
had a run in with one on the road into wickford about a mile and a half long he got me (well you didn`t think i was going to say i won was you) but he didn`t make me look silly and before you say he wasn`t trying i was doing 120 when he overtook me
i didn`t mind cos i had my window down and as he overtook me the sound was fantastic
at the next junction he gave me the thumbs up

no iwas doing 120 he was doing 135-140 and by the time is was time to break i was doing 140
so i dont think he was having a sunday afternoon poodle
oh by the way under breaking he was all over the place
did had 285bhp now has extra mods probably now 290-295bhp so it may not be the quickest but it isn`t a slow one

Had 2 run ins with them, in a straight they are staggering, get into twisties and the bike always need longer to brake etc. Good rider will kill you, not many of them about tho
If its wet you have a more than fair chance, their traction aint too hot and you can give them a really decent challenge.
Just remember : Last time i saw one it was a cold wet windy night, waved at him on my way past eating my McDs whilst listening to the stereo, and it was wet so had he tried it he would have lost - enuff said

i had an R1 and a scoob- R1 was quicker on the track and the road but not so fast over a gravel drive.
if you beat an R1 on the road you are either in a VERY fast catherham (and a bloody good driver), you are against a pants rider or (and this is the scooby drivers most used theory) the road was falling apart with potholes everywhere and a series of haipins.....in which case move house cause you live in 5hithole with roads like that.

"bike always need longer to brake etc"
not allways as many corners that a car breaks for a bike can straightline (this happens at loads of roundabouts) so while the scoob is braking the R1 is on the gas.

Ive had 1 R1, 2 Blades, 1 VTR1000, 1 ZX6R, etc, the R1 leaves any car for S*it, I have an STi 7 and wouldnt even bother trying, now the blade is different, they are fat and slow, I did try with one the other day, got up to 140+ and expected him to wizz by but it didnt come, me in slow lane, him in fast, me approaching truck, him not, me slam on anchors, him speed up!

i can take most twisties faster in my scooby than I can on my babyblade (400cc JDM Honda Fireblade)
But that's probably down as much to my relative driving/riding skill (I'm much better with 4 wheels cos I've been dong it longer). Don't know about straight line acceleration, but the bike tops out at just over 120 (so I've heard *cough*)

I know... but I haven't got one of them, wouldn't be able to afford the scoob.
I'm faster round the lanes on my 400 than my mates KwakZX6R. He's a bit of a pansy rider though.
