Steering feel is 01' upto 00' yet?

Can anyone comment now, as to whether any modified WRX 01's now posses the same quality of steering feel of the old generation car?
Has anyone yet experimented with rosejointing the bushing areas or the subframe itself? Or modifing the steering rack or steering rack bushes?
I seem to remember we have a very handy technical guru on this forum who modified a Lotus Esprit in some similar ways I've mentioned- Any comments?
