I am in a bit of a pickle as I sent one of my wheels off for referbing and the referb guys have resprayed the wheel with a complety different shade of (puts flame proof suit on) Gold not once but twice .
I mean once is fair enough but when I give them an original wheels aswell to match the paint it still comes back the wrong shade.

The wheel looks like this:

The wheel has this on the back:
ASAHI TEC.

A86

16x7JJ53

They are going off for a 3rd time on tuesday so any help would be appreciated.

You wanna try getting someone to match the paint code for an RB5 wheel!!

Had 3 done about 2 weeks ago and not even close, ended up silver with a hint of blue - but place that did them are going to redo all four for free in a slightly different colour (anthracite) so at least they will all match.

Oh... I was going to get mine done as well. Did the paint get blasted off the spokes near the centre on yours?

They actually did a good job. Apparently rang Subaru for the paint and got some delivered - but it wasn't the right colour.

I posted a question in Technical about the paint code, but no dice. If you're gonna have one done then prepare for it to be the wrong colour.

My wheels are being redone in the anthracite colour that Volvo T5R wheels come in. Should look ok (fingers crossed!).

As far as the RB5 ones go, I think they'd look better a lot darker, but I want to keep the standard look. I need all 4 done though as some are lightly kerbed and most have the (presumably brake dust) blasting.

The one that CCV had for £10k looked to me like it had had its wheels done in Steel Blue, which looked OK, just a bit odd compared to the 17k miler they had at the same time. The buyer was on here so maybe can confirm?

I wanted to keep the standard colour, but looks like I've got no real option but to go darker. (Fingers still crossed!)
