Hello everyone - first off I'd like to offer you the opportunity to come and point and laugh at the newbie.
Second off I am looking (in the next few months) to purchase my first impreza. I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to the impreza (but still know a bit about cars in general) and I was wonering what options I have for my specific criteria and some advice from you knowledgable people!
Price: I'm quite young so my budget is about as low as possible ie £5-6k (mods would follow as cash allows)
Model: This is where I want the advice - think my insurance could stretch to a turbo but no idea what models are considered as good and upgradeable.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

You've also come to treasure trove of information. There's a wealth of info right here so spend some time going through the various forums and you're sure to pick of good pointers on do's and dont's. One don't is : Don't expect not to spend a fortune on "little things" for your Scooby to be.
