...the recirculate on/off button (Pre 99) to a naff mechanical slider on the MY99? You know, to do with the air vents etc.
The button is much better IMHO
Any ideas??

Dunno, probably cos it's cheaper!
I also don't like the way they changed from a dial to a slider for the fan speed. Temp controls on the <MY97 are better IMO, although everything else about the interior is better on the >MY97.
If you really hate it you could try and install the controls from an import with climate control, it has a button for recirc although likely it would be a PITA to install!

afaik scoob's have always had BRIGHT buttons - its an extra feature - if you leave it off you get an extra 5BHP...
also they changed to the slidy air director control as it was less weight than the older one.. therefore pushing the car to the limits of performance...
this is similiar to the reason why all the Yatea massive drive around with there Ariels down (UK cars) as you get better car stability, less body roll and more aerodynamics...
</sarcy mode off>

Ahh on the MY01-> the bright switch is no more! It is now on the stalk with the lights!! <wow>
You can set the clock and odometer brightness independently of the lights!!
Amazing!
