Morpheus Geodesy Shocker! £35.25

Just got a letter from Morpheus yesterday saying I owe them £35.25 for a GPS update....
I dont remember reading anything about this when I bought the thing and certainly did not sign any contract, other than the one to register the thing - that certainly was not a contract.....
Can someone shed some light on this as I dont see why I should pay it - I've only plugged in the dail up a couple of times
Surely annual cost should be takne account of in the sale price?

The first year subscription is free/included in the price of purchase. Therafter it was always circa £30/year for further yearly subscriptions. It *not* a contract ! You dont have to pay - but you would only be able detect GATSO's from your last updated database........

Was this stated at the outset that this charge would be payable in the box... or did I just miss it....
Its only a small amount - I dont object to the amount - just the principle of not being told (or maybe I was?)and just receiving an invoice - the only mail I've ever received from Morpheus

I have just bought the geodousy, the first twelve months subs are included in the price, then there is a charge of £30 per year after that, you can download as often as you like but they recomend once a week is sufficient. That means by my calculations that you can download at least 52 times.

Yeah - when you have time - I downloaded once when I got it and then again a couple of months back... I dont use very often... I got fed up with the false signals from previous Temporary gatso's (long gone) on motorway renewal sections that they dont appear to take off their database....
That said it sounds like It'll be excellent for the new digital era - but I have not noticed any of these yet....
Must get the thing hard wired in.... Try it now and again in an Audi but the windscreen seems to interfere with it somehow..
