crickey! The replie on this bbs are faster than my scoob!

Thanks everyone, slightly more expensive but if it suits the car better then hey, its worth it! Also just found out that when I move I will shave some 200 - 300 off my insurance a year

More mods money

where can I get the Octane booster? How much is it? I assume you just stick it in the fuel tank when you fill up?

Octane Booster..

TSL, ScoobyMania, ScoobySport, New Age Motorsport, Demon Tweeks etc.

TSL, ScoobyMania and NAM are probably the closest to you.

Cheers I shall investigate. Being new to scoobies somewhere to ask (daft) questions like this is invaluable

Got to say I did 40K Miles in my 94 Sti and 90% of the time on Normal 95RON with no engine issues. However a few people have had problems and if I'd realised it was as big an issue then I'd probably have went more with super.
Mine was a 5 door so possibly less risk as its not the full 280BHP, 240 I think. Plus I never had the limiter removed so it was never thrashed

Good to see someone else who used 95 RON in an import, think I'm the only one (mad enough?) to do so

I had a problem with my last import using 95 RON but later found the ECU had been chipped in Japan, so I would get this checked first before using 95RON,

I have had no problems using 95 RON in my 95 WRX but I have been taught what to listen for (detting) and can hear it on the very odd occasion, so I would use 97 RON if you intend to use the WRX to its full potential.
