This should maybe go in insurance, but is actually a technical question. For PPP fitted to MY00 I gather power "officially" is 237bhp from 215bhp - an increase of 10.23%. Insurer bands power increase up to 10% then 11-20%. It's which band to declare. I would be safer going for the higher one, and then it give me room to add other things later?

And they must just be using 2sf if they are saying up to 10 and then 11-20 rather than up to 10.99 then 11.00-20 etc. I'm just a little wary of conniving insurance companies...
And is 237bhp actually the "official" figure - some have said lots of different figures?

Does fuel make a difference to the MY00 PPP?
For my MY01 I have declared under 10% as it goes from 215 to 230bhp on 95RON,which is under 6%.
However IF i put 97RON in, its up to 245bhp which is over 10%. I cant see them testing the fuel if you have a claim.

and 218ps to 240ps is just about bang on 10%. I think that is what I'll declare - they are only interested in max power - I am interested in the 20% increased midrange
