I currently have a WRX PPP ala:-

I now have got to the stage where I have to decide on whether i i keep spending money on this car or trade in for a P1

If i keep it I will add:-

1) Body Kit
2) Exhaust Downpipe & back box (to remove all cats & sound better)
3) Quikcshift
4) Window tints (light one)
5) ICE
6) Bigger brakes

Do i do this or change for a P1 hopefully with 18s & bigger brakes & through exhaust

Pros & cons as far as I can see

I beleive that MY01 handles better
P1 looks better
Insurance cheeper on MY01
Servicing only annually on MY01
MY01 better built & less rattles BUT does feel a bigger & less manoevrable car

WHAT SHOULD I DO ??

To be honest I wouldnt have a P1 as I couldnt get one new. I have kept my MY00 RA because I am still not convinced with the new car and the RA is just nicely run in and has all the bits I want plus I had it from new so I have a full history. It has been to plenty of trackdays but always parked in the paddock and never ventured out .

It looks like you have spent a fair bit on it. Just enjoy it for a few months and look for a special edition MY03, there will be at least one . This will be the only way to prise me out of my RA.

Cheers

Chris

speaking to someone on trax's day who had a p1, he said just by adding exhaust and air filter you can get 300/305 bhp easily, but do you want to go back on the old style, plus you have done a lot already, have you thought about importing a jap sti 280 bhp as standed, if you are thinking of a p1 and mod's try to speak to the nice man i did user name of "ninja" he should help you decide.

good luck

Comes down to whether you like 2 door blue cars or 4 door silver ones ...

I'd say stick with yours as 90% of the time, there's not much difference in the driving experience between the two unless you are a complete nutter (aka Chris from Kent...)

I had a P1 too - loved it but think that technology has improved since 99 hence a new WRX is probably a better car as a result...

As I mentioned the first time you posted this a couple of weeks ago, since you've already admitted to owning both cars, you are in a far better position than most to decide. Especially as only you know what you want in a car.

Personally, I can't possibly see there's any comparison between a P1 and a WRX, as only the STi 7 comes close to the P1, and once the PPP frees up the engine, it will probably be as quick, if not quicker.

Had both, the P1 turns heads and is the much better car IMHO

Throw an Evo 6 into the story and the Evo would be my choice ( had a 6 too )

hmm, interesting...

P1 or keep the WRX. What about an STi PP when they come out? would be deffo worth hanging on until then.

I like the bug eye, it's really grown on me, and seeing what many have done (MATTeL's being a very fine example) I think I'd go with a new age, and prob have to be STi

now if only they would do a 2 door new age, mmm, now that would be cool
