I for one
Would the world be a better place without it?
I think so
(Not bothering with flame retardent clothing of any kind, cos no one has yet convinced me of ANY good argument for)
Anyone else feel the same?

I really don't like footy at all, can't see the attraction. OK, so I do watch some of the england games, but only major ones, ie; main stages of Euro XX or World Cup games.
Think that cricket is better than footy and I don't like cricket that much.

I couldn't. I also feel the same about rugby, cricket, golf and Formula 1 (the automotive equivalent to synchronised swimming).
In fact, I dislike any so-called 'sport' that gets more airtime than a 'proper' sport like pro cycling, moto GPs or WSB.
There, that should get people going....

Completely agree with you. The only football I have ever watched is the final stages of the world cup (When England have actually even bothered to qualify).
Football, Golf and Cricket cause me to instantly change the channel.

Couldn't agree more.
It costs a fortune to Police the games. Internationals now end up with people getting stabbed/murdered and we as a nation get a bad name because the fans smash up foreign bars.
And what the hell was that idiot on, when he described it as the National Game???
I like Rugby Union (no rolling around holding your shin, because someone came within 6 feet of you), but other than that, its motorsport (cars and bikes) and womens beach volleyball

I agree with all of you! Football is boring and gets too much TV air time. Has anyone noticed that there are quite a few so called 'sports programs' or 'sports news' which might aswell be called 'football programs' or 'football news' as that is all they talk about even when there is other sports to talk about.
And the way they change the TV schedules and cancel programs I want to see so that they can show a match live...........
Whoops, slipping into rant mode!

Cant stand it. Especially when it's world or FA cup time. Crickets just as bad as well. As for snooker or snwcer as they call it around here well thats just soooo boring.
Bet youve noticed though how all these crap sports get massive TV coverage just because their easy and cheap to film.
Suppose I should like rugby being welsh but even find that boring. So would most others too if you took away the alcohol factor.
In my opinion if it aint got an engine it aint worth watching.
Chip.

OK, I'll join the abuse.
Nothing wrong with football, apart from their pay packets, the whincey rolling around when spat at, paying to watch it on TV, those stupid bloody becham hairsyles, I could go on, but I've got a round of golf to play.

Andy, yes I am having a bad day but I think you are mixing me up with Jza with regards to the Lee biker threads. Never mind nearly time to go home to GT3, then I'll feel better.

Not really a fan. Will watch the odd game but mainly internationals.
It isn't that bad a game but I hate everything that goes with it.
The egos
The haircuts
The low IQs
The obsessed fans that think they are playing
The violence
The way all life has to stop because of some poxy football match (anybody who lives in a town with a Premier team will know what I mean)
The money
The TV rights (ie. SKY)
The endless bollox talked by people down the pub.
Apart from that it's not that bad.

Hang on, what does that make me? I watch as many fotball matches as they can schedule on the TV, if 2 or 3 at once, then I have 2 or 3 TVs on to watch them The same applies to motor racing, and golf, and...
I also don't drink, so that rules out watching all these sports as an excuse to drink beer
I see I'm going to have to partake in some brain washing here Now everyone repeat after me:
'Sports are good, I like sports'
Repeat this every day and eventually you too will agree. Trials are currently in progress as to whether this will work, but I'm confident

really dont see the point in replying, but I love it! As much as any motor sport. Someone wrote it costs the police a lot of money, what crap, the clubs pay huge police bills to have police at games. Some games are now not even policed (just stewards) at all as they are not deemed a risk. IMHO of course.
