I thought you said it didn't have a tracking device installed, or did I read your post on it incorrectly??

Remember that cars now have very good security systems, and criminals need the keys to the car. What better way than to threaten with a weapon and ask you to get out of the car. No damage to vehicle, and very little resistence, easy really. Dont forget, lock your doors when driving through town!

I hope I'm not being stupid, but I thought the stats from Traker are ones on cars with Traker fitted?
Either way it's not on, but at what point do we sell our cars and buy crap Volvo's?? (Before I have any comments, I had a crap Volvo 340 while living in Manchester after my Golf was stolen!)
Davy,
Don't forget to unlock them again for motorways and fast dual carriageways! - Advice from a friendly fireman!

That's why the side windows are easy to break - so u folk can get in easily. This has been a point of discussion when people with locked cars waiting at traffic lights have had their side windows smashed to ****** that phone or handbag.

There are 2 things to do with regards to someone holding you up with a pistol
1) Replace windows with bullet-proof glass
2) Lock doors and electrify the outside bodywork :O)
then sit back and laugh as he takes a shot at your windscreen then tries to open your door!!!

I saw some South African web site that had details of anti car jacking deterents.
Apparently they dont even wait for you to get out the car in South Africa - just shoot you and drag you out dead!!!
Favourite was a set of flame throwers coming out from under the car next to the front doors that TOASTED the hi-jacker!!!
Now that would be sweeeeeet - flame up some scumbag!!
Also on the list was nerve gas and full outer shell electricity!!!
But the downside was you mpg got worse and you get a lumpy idle and hesitation at 3000rpm.....
