The people who have not sponsored may well be sponsoring/pledging money to other causes.
Make your pledge to Simons worthwhile cause because its something you want to do.
Remember, he's ASKING and not TELLLING.

Whether people support other causes or not is, IMHO, neither here or there.
I do, but the point is, as a collective, we are all a bunch of tossers who spend far too much money on cars.There is no rational logic behind spending so much hard earned on cars so can we all now pledge £20 or whatever to SDB please, and stop justifying to others why we have not made a pledge.

I apologise wholeheartedly to anyone who thought for an instant that I truely was calling people here on the BBS tossers! 
It was, as SDB said, purely in jest, I was making a play on words re the other 'tosser' thread, just as with the 'stuffed' threads
