If it is one owner and has a full main dealer history (including body stamps) then I would be happy buying it (as long as the bodywork and interior looked OK). Remember the Impreza needs to be serviced every 6 months or 7500 miles whichever is sooner so check it has a proper service history and not just a service once a year.
Also a word of warning, this car is coming up for 6 years old and the 90,000 mile/6 year service is the REALLY expensive one. This is a combination of the 2 and 3 year services and could quite easily cost you £800-£900. If this hasn't been done then I bet the reason the guy is getting rid id because he had a quote for it and thought better of it.
Also check the tyres as a set will cost you £500. Last thing you want after buying the car is to pay £900 for the service and £500 for a set of tyres.

70k is an acceptable mileage as with Joey, the car has full service history and all the body checks and has one owner and not 3 or 4. Subaru's can take and do take abuse, if in doubt get a speciallist to check it out or take it to a dealer, ok it may cost you some money but its piece of mind

Sounds good to me if it's main dealer supplied it should carry the "proven" warranty anyway.
Usual cautions, i.e make sure it feels right. I drove one with 100,000 on the clock, not a rattle or a squeak and as sharp as our car! Steering wheel was sh***ed tho. If someone covered the clock I would have guessed 40K. If it's been cared for go for it, but get someone to to look at it with you. One of the guys here may offer if you dont want to fork out the a survey, but if your'e starting there u can't afford to run it.
Best of luck m8
