Poll: Impreza vs Integrale steering
#1
Well since the other thread (regarding my plea to Prodrive to make its next P2 have steering feel) seems to have gone to scoobyspace-
I'll ask this question: For those who have driven both the Impreza (you pick your version) and the Integrale (again pick a version)which provides better steering feel? Note: I am not talking about handling.
First Vote: Integrale (truly communicative steering in the vain of Porsche)

Integrale steering on all the models i've owned (8V,Evo1 & Evo2)makes scooby feel like it's got a knitted steering wheel !
No comparison and that's going back to 1988 !
As for reliability scooby wins hands down........

Nice to get some coroberation on this.
Nice to see some have the openess of mind to differ with Mike Woods view that:
"If you have ever driven a P1 on 18s, you would find it very difficult to criticise the steering as I personally have yet to drive a car with better steering that actually drives the front wheels."

My old (circa 1988) Audi Coupe had better steering than a Scoob once the geometry was setup, but felt like a bag of laundry as standard. One the other hand, a well set up Scoob can feel like it is on rails and also responsive to every input. However, I find most cars with power steering to be a bit too twitchy for my liking, I prefer a lot more weight.
Only driven one Intergrale and that felt very disconnected from the wheels, but was a shed so could have been unrepresentative.
Cheers
