I have a my99 turbo and have noticed that the registration document says the model is
"impreza sport awd 4 door saloon"
Is the word sport a generic term to suggest this is a sporty awd car
or
is it the subaru model designation, and hence should say 'turbo'?
I'm not worried about it being a ringer or anything as the car was bought from a UK subaru dealer, so should be OK.
Thanks, Ade

Your document is wrong.
I believe the correct wording goes something line "AWD turbo 2000"
but as previously said don't worry too much mine was initially registered as a forester!
Actually, do be careful when getting insurance quotes. They often ask for just the number plate and the database then tells them what the care is.
When I called they asked if I had a forester. When you call make sure they are aware that you have a turbo. Have you been getting unfesibly good quotes ????

I'd get it sorted with he DVLC and dealer if necessary, in writing.
As you say probably a mistake, but if the Police do a vehicle check and it mis-matches it could be a good excuse to stop you.
Had the same problem once when my car was silver when it wasn't.

Thanks for the feedback.
I have called dvla and they said just to send the log book in with the error circled and the correct model written on it. They will just change it and send me a now doc. I asked if they needed any proof.....no apparently.
Ade
PS - definitely insured as a turbo.
