Question

I am not intending to ride Prodrive, I respect their integrety and understand that they cannot be drawn into open debate over Subaru's promotion/marketing strategy or launch time lines.
It is however interesting that several times the issue of predicting how many people would want PPP has been postulated as a stock control/supply issue and this may be significant to the launch date.
On a positive note perhaps a list of those here who would most probably go with the PPP (even if they are waiting for more info before ordering it) would be useful.

Question

Thinking about it along with the Prodrive springs. £2000 is a lot of money though, not sure that I justify it.

I probably will next year....

- When I have paid some more off the car
- When it has actually been released and I can drive one
- Once I have seen the spec and heard opinions of others
- If my insurance doesnt go up too much

I'm down for this, twice!

I've just fitted a SS backbox to the STi, are the dealer likely to whinge if I take the car in with the SS backbox? or will they put the PPP backbox in the boot and let me have a shiney Prodrive mantlepiece ornament

LOL T5NYW
Obviously you have "Special knowledge" not in the public forum...zzzzzzzz!
Don't forget it improves safety in the "Driven" test of time exposed to danger while overtaking a lorry on a cone infested runway.

I think 18"'s and Powerstation Alignment, Bumpsteer and large rear anti-roll bar cures all. or PHP

Tony.

Got the 18s and the alignment but not the bumpsteer or anti-roll bar, car still has a pull to the left (Sti 7)! Am starting to get fed up with it now!!!

P.S. Sorry to hijack the thread a bit.

Had it on order since I bought the damn car and dealer said I had the first P-Sti in Scotland; drove it home on the 30th Jan. Like Willie F, my dealer also says the "second one" is mine...we will see?

Car in for the 10K service this week, and to get the complete front end painted as well (from A-pillars forward) Lacquer is coming off the bonnet and the paint is peeling off the bargeboards, exposing the black plastic beneath. (Fog light covers, or should I call them the "mt-space" covers)

Has anyone heard any more about dates for the PPP. I've just been into my dealer and they checked there and then and were told OCTOBER! I don't know where I am in the queue, but I was hoping to pick up my new STI with it fitted, at the end of September. More the fool me I guess.

Jet,
its not recommended to have the PPP fitted before you run your car in, id do the first 1500 miles then have the PPP fitted

Jet,
Don't believe all the rumours that dealers tell you It could be out tommorow or Febuary
PPP will only be released when Prodrive are absolutely certain it will do no harm to your pride and joy in 3years or 60 Kmiles IMHO

Tony

Ps. believe me if Prodrive could get 500 PPP kits made and out the door to us tomorrow Prodrive would be more than happy
