I've got one on my 99. Not a great difference although the car seemed to pick up that little bit smoother on boost, so i guess the intercooler is more efficient as the air is chanelled over the whole thing not just half of it. Worth the money!

Money well spent - Actually, best £25 of tuning money I've ever spent.
Doddle to fit, and immediately power felt stronger and smoother across the range.
A friend took his off when selling the car, and immediately he said it felt flat in comparison.
Just look at your intercooler and see the difference in how dirty the back half is compared to the front. Split that airflow!!!

I had one on my MY00 and found that it reduced the charge temp by approx 2degC.
Thread here also discussing it

Simon_Prickett fitted one of these on his MY98 last year and was really pleased with it.
Especially when a stone entered the bonnet vent on a backroad and wrecked it totally. Hell of a lot cheaper than replacing the intercooler though!
He would have got another one but decided to sell the Scooby and go all 'family' instead!

Howdy,
I note on yer site it says "Available for all Later model Subaru Impreza's (My97-My01 Old style) that have the intercooler mounted squarely Underneath the bonnet scoop.
Owing to lack of space within the bonnet scoop of earlier Pre My97 models it is unfortunately impractical to fit a splitter without severe modification."
I have a MY97 with a square mounted intercooler so was wondering from yer comments on this thread whether yer goodies will fit on me MY97 scooby? If so i kud well b tempted
Lettice no then m8

Si, the splitter actually fastens to the metal plate that all later model imprezas have.
earlier models had the bonnet scoop ducting away to one side slightly.......So unless you had the complete bonnet swapped with the underbonnet metal tray then your a bit stuffed......Plus it would be a big cost.......

Who is Peter McAlpine??
Anyway, does your splitter support the water spray and are there holes foreseen to fit the nozzles into?
IF yes, wil the water still spray over the entire i/c or only the lower half, since the upper half is closed due to the splitter?
What's the price of your splitter?
Thanks for letting me know, and don't you dare to say ''No'' to all question or else I'm gonna tell everyone that the Zero/Sports splitter has all these features!!!

Peter Mc alpine and the members of the new south wales subaru club came up with the idea of intercooler splitters circa 1998.
How long has zero sports been making or selling splitters...??
Q.. "Anyway, does your splitter support the water spray and are there holes foreseen to fit the nozzles into?

A.. I'd like to see how.......
cause when a splitter is in place it stops water from entering the entire intercooler .(Doh!)
The zero product replaces the entire under bonnet plate (mine doesn't.....No Contest!)
the only way is to fit extra nozzles.......
as i have said all along...
plus while we are on it intecooler splitters split the air they shouldn't block it at the top...

Alberick .........NO.... LET THE PRODUCTS SELL THEM SELVES...
