Talking

Credit where it is due.

Urgently needed a up-pipe to turbo gasket - called Mill Lane Subaru, Basingstoke - very polite, but said just used last one - let them know by 3.30pm if I needed one and it would be there for 9am.

The called the well known dealer near Guildford - took ages to get through to number - then put through to parts - no answer - another try - answered. Asked for gasket - man puts me on hold for two minutes then suddenly I am back at reception desk again.

Get put through again - man answers - yes....no we don't stock those, rarely need them....hangs up!

A few minutes later - Mill Lane call me - just wanted to check whether I needed the gasket ordered. An hour later, Mill Lane call again - gasket ordered - just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else I needed before the distribution was shut for the day.

Picked up part 9am next day - all packaged up and invoice made out in my name.

Two days later - phone to ask if cambelt in stock - didn't even say who I was. Wife turns up - out ready - invoice already made up in my name.

It's nice to feel loved but car dealers today so rarely acheive it. But it is the small things that make it so much nicer to do business.

Well done Mill Lane.

I don't know but I bet 5/4 that Mill Lane are an Independent Dealer rather than run as part of a huge group ?

Same type of attitude and knowlege at Fenny Compton (nr Banbury)
I have 3 dealers nearer but still go there (45 mins) because a) they treat you as a customer and b) They know their stuff.

As far as I know Mill Lane have other dealerships for different marques all around the home counties - assume its the same group....

Not been too impressed with servicing but perhaps parts is their salvation

I was so impressed with their service that I brought a new STi7 from them instead of my crappy local dealer, only went in originally for a 20k service.

Yep just had mine serviced there, very helpful and much cheaper than Pangbourne Reading.

Apparently also, they have some 12K allingment thingy for putting your car on and getting it set up properly - said to be the dogs doodas.

Cool

Mill Lane get 10 out of 10 as far as I am concerned.

Two services and one warranty repair from new and not one problem.

Unfortunately I bought mine from another dealer in Hampshire, they dented my bonnet on the first service and generally could not be bothered, I will not make that mistake again!!

I got top service today from performance Subaru.

Got a windscreen and DP fitted. They gave me a free proper valet and a polo top and SWRT pen were left on the passenger seat too.
Nice to see a few places still make the extra effort for their customers.
