Question

Saw a picture of Stefs car with new FMIC fitted, it has no mesh or protection over it. Is the core strong enough not to get dented/damaged by stones, insects etc..??

I am thinking of having one fitted, I know the standard bumper is to be cut but not sure how to fit a mesh or if there is any room to fit one?

Mesh will reduce efficiency by a small degree and will stop little things like grit but not larger things like cars from damaging the core.

Ian,

I think the bar and plate designs, such as the mrt are stronger. Had a look at one last night and it certainly seems more tough.

I am sure you could easily slot in some mesh in front of the tube and fin designcores.
