Could be good for Subaru, he's a bit of a whinging bastid isn't he?
On the other hand...I'd be whinging as well being forced into driving something that ooogley.
So now Subaru has the crash test dummy and a nerdy-ish dude...2 bad Tommi won't leave Muschimatschi..."we" really need a cool consistent driver in the car.

This is the same guy that has in the past graced Scoobynet with his presence?
The one that the community was, by and large, behind?
Perhaps I'm in the minority, but I think he's a pretty damn fine driver and it would be a shame to lose him.

All of the drivers when interviewed during an event are very focussed, and do come over as whingey when things arent going there way ! I would imagine i would feel the same if someone stuck a microphone in my face when the suspension had fell off or the engine had blown up !

LOL
this thread is so funny.
No one knows either way what Richard will do in the future except Richard and maybe Clare his PA.
He isnt going to tell a soul anything until he has a contract in black and white. The same goes with any other top sportsperson too.
What all the drivers do, without exception, is try and play mind games with the teams to get what they want and keep the presure on. Burnsey is doing that in the run up to the Safari, he is desperate to win this Rally. I think he believes that if he doesnt then his title chances are pretty much over. He is making sure the team gets that message.
I wish the guy good luck. I am a Colin fan first and foremost, followed him since the scottish rally in 88, something like that. Richard isnt as natural a talent as Colin but he is a talent. he has to work harder at it though. Thats bound to leave you slightly more highly strung in such a high presure environment.
He is also the type of personality that says what he thinks when he thinks it rather than feeding the PR line. There are a few on here like that too. LOL
If he did leave Subaru then someone else will step in and take the reins, no one is ireplacable. Personally i would like to see the guy suceed with Subaru, he has been pretty damn close in the past.
