My freind owns a garage and now and again he will buy a car and a light will be on ie check engine, airbag light. nine times out of ten it will just be a case of taking it to a dealer to have it reset.
Drop in to your local dealer and ask.

could be almost anything, mine came on intermittently, then i had problems starting from cold - it turned out it was the temperature sensor that was faulting - get a dealer (i used power engineering) to plug it in to their diagnostic computer and it will tell you what the problem is.

About a month ago I took my MY99 wagon to 6.5K revs in 3rd. It felt nice, but about 3 minutes after .... the 'check' light came on.

I drove slowly for a while, then parked up for a few hours. Have not seen the light come on since, and there's been plenty of 'high end rev action' going on I can tell you.

It's still best to get it checked it out. At my next service (Sep) I'll ask Subaru for the once over.

J.

I think I have found the answer..........maybe

The chap I brought it from was using super unleaded or such like he said he would have used optimax but there were no shell garages in his area, so since I live nearly on top of one goes and fills it up was nearly empty with optimax . when I drove it on the old fuel it was fine only started happening when new fuel has dragged itself through the pipework in the engine.

now do I run it down to half full and put unleaded back in and mix it or do I see help from someone in the know ???????
