You have to ask why we bother...
A friend was woken up one morning last year, by a white RS turbo escort driving through her garden wall. This is in the middle of a long suburban street.
The car had 4 bald irregular sized tyres, and it was discovered to have no Tax. Subsequently at court, it was discovered the vehicle had no MOT or Insurance.
The driver had been drinking from a bottle of cider in the car and was over the limit.
He failed to appear at the first hearing.
Second hearing, couple of days ago - The result:
£200 fine !!!!
Wha? Doesn't even go anywhere near paying for legal costs, let alone anything else...I'm going to emmigrate.
