Thumbs up

I just met a guy on Sat who had one. He said that he paid £350 ish for a special deal, Bell detector of some type and a jammer. The detector he said was useful on roads he didn't know as far as gatso's were concerned and the jammer had saved his license 3 times. It is very discrete and detects a laser being shot at it and fires loads of lasers back confusing old Johnny Gallagher! It only last's for 5 seconds as it gets really hot but that is enough time to slow etc. He swore by it, and I'm tempted!

I have the Snooper sld 920

Cost me £300 +£50 fitting

Many places are offering these now at a discount. i.e Eurocar in Ossett West Yorks have it at £225 -I'm tempted to get another for the rear of the car

As to the legality - they are technically legal!

If I remember correctly a jammer is an electronic counter measure and is illegal.
Had a pint for lunch though so may be wrong

Medders

Yes you are wrong - go back to the pub.

The UK speed trapbible web site is very informative.

I dont see how emitting what is effectively a light source can be illegal

Laser Jammers aren't technically illegal, however, you could be done for "perverting the course of justice" "preventing a police officer from carrying out their duty" etc etc

It's all a bit hypothetical till some poor sod gets taken to court, and a verdict is made, that's the only way we will know for sure.
