Red Letter Days
#1
My good lady has been kind enough to donate her Red Letter Day to me that she won at work. What a top gal !
Now what do I go for - the Rally Experience to hone my driving skills or the Diamond Beauty Make-over Experience? Hmmmmmm......help me out here!

Daz,
Gave my Dad a Red Letter day I got from work and booked him in for the Ferrari experience, he absolutely loved it. It was a couple of years ago so the cars are probably newer now. He drove a Testarossa and a Modial and got taken on a couple of laps in an Elise. All in all a good day, pity dealing with the Red Letter Day company wasn't as good!

How many points have you got? If you have enough you can drive a F1 car - IIRC you'll need more than 1000 (Gold day) though I have a full catalogue at work, let me know how many points and I'll jot down the options

Cheers for the advise chaps.
I certainly haven't got enough points for the F1 racing or MIG flying, but should be able to do the Ferrari dayor the Rallying.
GaryC, how many points does that equate to mate ?
(The details I've got are a quite a few months old now.)

Me and a few guys chipped in to buy one of these for a mate who was 40, thought he'd go on one of the driving days. But no, he chose to go white water rafting and we all went too. Top day, but the sick git chose to do it in 2 man inflatable kayaks (sp?) dead easy to roll over and spent more time in the water than in the boat. One thing though, unless you are totally fearless in water, dont do it as sometimes it gets a bit scary

Oh Yes!
As long as you remember that you WILL pop back up to the surface, its not too bad, but, when the current takes you under, it seems like a helluva long time
A great time was had by all and I'm glad I did it

Rafting ...
I did it on the Zambezi. 4 class 5 rapids and one 6 - you walk round those, or you die.
Has to be the most mental thing I have have ever done. We came out 3 times, but only flipped the boat once - avoided all the 'chicken' run's through in favour of the nutter imminent death type. Got a video of it somewhere. $50 US for a full day.
TOTALLY reccommend it if you ever get to Vic falls.

Red Letter days are primarily a corporate incentive sceheme, although point values are 'pounds' so anyone can buy a treat.
We use them to incentivise staff for a variety of things - creativity, head-hunt bonus etc. Several of my staff have earned 1000's of points a year Guts me to see none of them go for the F1 experience though
