Idea for people who can't go to Nick Wilds Funeral
#1
Reposted because I got the wrong name
I'm not going to be able to make it. However, like many of you i'll being starting my car up at 3pm on Wednesday.
It might be an idea to take a photo of the rev counter at the redline and post it up in members gallery. Just make sure that
1. Your stationary and parked somewhere where people won't mind.
2. You've warmed the car up first(for a good 10 mins or so)
3. Its run in.
Just a thought to show how many people took part in the redline salute.

No problem
I'll even post one of the black ribbon tied to the ariel as well
It will be a pleasure to give Nick a flat four salute

Just had a mail informing me that redlining the car when it's stationary is'nt a good idea as there is no load on the engine. Apparently con rods can sometimes let go.
So 3,000 revs it is then.

ok - 3000 or I'll do it whilst moving! ....how many hands does it take to drive anyway
...btw, in no way do I condone driving with no hands on the wheel - it was a *joke*
I'll be sure to warm the centre section up well first, still makes a nice noise at 3000...
Gutted not to be able to come up there - hope it all goes as well as can be expected Rich, keep those happy memories flowing.
My thoughts and prayers are with you...
