Just had to put oil in the STiUK for the second time since its 1000 Service...having now done 3000 further miles. With my previous Scoobs I never ONCE had to put oil in between services ('cept once prior to a trackday): and I don't thrash the car - tho I do press on
Seems a bit much... or not?
Other STiUK owners the same??

Hi Phil,
Mine did the same after the 1000 mile service.
Had to put oil in twice before 4000 miles (previous two scoobs haven't needed a drop inbetween services) however I'm now on 8500 miles and I've not had to put anymore in!!

I also am surprised at the oil consumption, having never put a drop in any of my other 3.
However, it does seem to be stabilising now at 8,000 miles, and performance also continues to improve below 4k as the miles increase.

checked mine now - seems to be plenty in there, i'm just about to get to 3k on the odo. however, where it's parked is on a bit of a camber so i'll have to check it again on the level.

Mine used a little bit after the first 1000 mile service, until I got the oil changed by the dealer again at about 6k miles (I think 10k miles is too long). It approached the low marker on the dipstick, was wasn't enough to warrant filling up.
It now hasn't used a drop since.
This is quite normal though, as even after 1k miles, the pistons rings are still bedding in to some extent, and a small amount of oil usage can be expected, and this will diminish as everything beds in nicely.
