Dodge, your lucky, mine is in the shop, having work done.
We have to meet up for a blast soon on a Sunday
my conclusions after selling my scoob for a megablade? scoobys are simply dull in comparison

Dodge,
Not that fussed about the british weather. Was thinking of going back to a Ford Puma as you can still have fun at more sensible speeds than the Scoob. The Westie has to wait until we've moved and have a decent sized garage to house it However, the intention is to then use it as a cruiser on the road, and a mental, nutty speed machine on the track where it's (relatively )safe to do so.
Thing is....I want it now and all the houses round our way (in the area we want to move) are too bloody expensive . Still, at least I can save money whilst waiting
Edit : Would love to meet up sometime (particularly when I get the Westie) as I am only over in Notts

I cant be sure but i have started thinking about changing scoob. I only got it in April. i modded it straight away.MY 99 uk 5 door, unichip, full decat, 17inch oz lots of other bits.
Looked at the Honda CTR and Seat Leon yesterday.
Is this right? i miss the straight line power of my old cossie, but want a modern car.
Scoob is great but its forte is belting round lanes and such and it is just so dangerous to do that nowadays.
Got about 16k to spend if i decide to change, but i feel i ought to keep the scoob as i am fanatical about looking after it.
Any thoughts

I can see where you are coming from, every dog has it's day - It's points like yours which manufacturers should pay attention to. Complacency will lead to loss of interest.
I used to be really into the 3dr Sierra Cosworth and now the Subaru Impreza - what will it be in 3-4 years time?
Jon S
Ps. Skoda Octavia RS looks wicked value for money

Just spent an hour on the autotrader site and to be fair i cant see anything i would want.
Maybe its not that i am bored with the scoob but never satisfied, as i luv cars.

In exactly the same position
Want to move house so sort of want to part with Scoob for that reason, also want a Westie, so want to part with Scoob for that reason.
Only issue for me is finding a cheap sensible runaround that I will be happy in. Everything I want is still too expensive Was thinking about spending 8k on a Westie, and nothing more than that on the runaround......completely stumped as to what to change to. It's doing my head in!

Think about it before you sell it. I sold my last wagon for a sensible estate (nice motor - all the toys) lasted 5 months and bought another scoob. Took a hit in cash terms on the estate and wish I'd never sold the 1st scoob.
Must admit my present one is better though
Alas

Dodge, thanks for the offer mate, may well take you up on it.
I take it you will be there both days of the kit car show on 14th/15th Sept? If so, we'll have to arrange something, even if it is just driving round the car park , and I'm sure I could stretch to getting you a drink of your favourite (low alcohol) beverage
