...already, the internal boot release doesn't work. Have to open it from the outside and then struggle to get the damn thing to shut.
I'll take it back and it won't be a problem; just p*ssed off at the moment.

There is a lever on the release catch in the boot that says cancel. This will stop the internal release from working to make the boot more secure. Try that.
