Hi Chaps,
Does anyone have an STI 7 RA. I know that they do not have elec. windows and air con, but they have the HID lights and Brembo brakes.Do they have the suretrack diffs and ABS? Does the Jap spec STI [ including the RA ] drive like the UK STI, with the lag up to around 4000 rpm, or is it a different power delivery altogether?.Is the Jap spec STI 7 as quick as a P1,including the RA. look on litchfield imports website ,they have an ra -i think it has no abs or air con and lightened body and when i asked they said power to weight ratio much improved so it should beat the p1 but it has the bugeyes headlights

The RA can come with A/C, it is an option.
I think the main difference is the elec windows, and lightened panels. There are more differences between the new Type C RA special, now thats gonna be quicker than a P1 any day....

Sorry you P1 owners but I followed one of you the other day and I had to keep feathering the throttle wake up with miles on it the STI7 is faster and with the PPP will kill it stone dead

There are two versions of the RA available, one with the same differentials as the STi, and the other features a mechanical rear plus an adjustable center differential. This version also loses the HID lights, Bembo brakes, ABS and 17in wheels but is 20kg lighter than the fully equipped RA which itself is 30kg lighter than the standard STi. Unlike previous RA, the New Age RA has the same gear box ratios as the standard STi.

The RA Spec-C is the fastest of the current JDM Imprezas for the time being (apart from the STi-202). It is faster round the tracks (in Japan at least) than the Evo 7 RS that has AYC & ACD.
There's a special ed STi in Japan now that has the Spec-C engine, but with all the creature comforts.
