Okay, any advice is welcome. What's next for my GT-B?
Here's the details;
97 BG5 Manual GT-B (276 bhp) dyno confirmed
The story so far;
17" Speedline GT one's + SO3
Some poly bushes on front + rear wishbones + rear hub
Front upper + lower Cusco struts, rear upper + lower to be added soon.
Iridium plugs, ITG panal filter. Prodrive DIY earthing.
HKS centre de-cat, HKS rear Super Dragger,
Suspension due to be checked and re-set to fast road spec.
The aim is for allround handling and performance.
Requirements - more power, better handling.

Scooby Sport down pipe sounds tempting, anyone got it fitted? What are the benefits?
Cheers Tim

Scoobysport downpipe = quicker spool up and more torque, coupled with the system you have you will prob notice much healthier 'breathing' right through the rev range

Tim,

Sounds fab

<begging>need pics on the B4 group (all TT owners welcome).</begging>

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/legacyb4

Sounds like a boost controller is in order too (esp if you go for the down pipe - which btw is on the 2ndry turbo, so has less to do with low-mid range). Pete likes his customers to keep their primary in one bit Some people have had good results with blow-off valves too.

A computer tune may be the way to go for more herbs - wonder if John Banks is up for a challenge? Otherwise Prova's box keeps the data/error logging functions while adjusting settings (dunno what it'd run like on lower cotane fuel though).

On my BG5 GT-B a stiffer rear bar + end links all round did wonders. Darkside does a bar that links the seat belt anchorages at the back to reduce flex even more (didn't get around to doing that).

Glad you've already done the earthing - my old car was flipping horrible! The VOD was reduced and responses were sharper/cleaner after I cleaned that up a bit (it was very basic - the trend had not really got going in those days). Not to mention how much better the stereo sounded

Kudos to you m8!

Thanks AJ for your help. I think I'll be paying a visit to Pete at Scooby sport. I'm in the process of getting some pics done so I'll get them to you, also interested in the twin turbo web, tried it yesterday but its down for work at the moment. Who is the guy you mentioned John, regarding the computer tune?
Cheers Tim

John Banks is one of the many gurus in this community - you'll see his name on many tech posts.

I wonder if any of the ECU tuners are interested in the TT market, we are few (esp in the UK) so not as much perceived potential I guess. APS in Oz has done a Unichip that seems to do fairly well, and Aussie fuel is similar to the UK's it seems (but please note that the Aussie B4 ECU is detuned for their fuel, so the piggy back may or may not work as well on a J-spec ECU).

Hope this helps a bit.
Cheers

Hi Dave,
That's correct I met you last year. I get the Cusco parts from RC Developments in Warrington. I would think they can get you the part no probs for the previous Legacy. ask for Jenny.
