After 26000 miles, my tyres are dead (I know, I haven't been driving it hard enough). My dealer quoted £165 each for Pirelli P-zeros. These guys have quoted £115 each including vat and delivery (and a voucher for free fitting).

What size are the P Zeros? If they are 215 40 17s then I can do Bridgestone Potenza SO2s for £105 a piece plus £10 p&p.

Had a look round and they don't seem particularly cheap to me... Ringing your local tyre dealer and saying that is the price you want should get the tyres for that price anyway!

Thanks for the advice. The tyres are 205/45/17 (standard RB5 wheels/tyres).

I had Bridgestone Potenza's on my previous scoob (MY97), and although they seemed to have better grip, they lasted less than half as long - not sure if there was something different with MY97 suspension? Or maybe I'm just slowing down as I get older!

Kwickfit will match any price you can find.. and cause they've got stores everywhere it doesn't matter where you get the best price... (must point out that I still don't use them unless I have to)

Paid £103 per 17" PZero 3mths ago from a local tyre place in Tonbridge, so shop about. Cant fault my PZeros and they last longer that SO2s and have harder shoulders, but are a bit noisier, still the exhaust drowns any tyre noise !!!

Have tried this before and they have said no, tyres had to be immediately available locally. I would never buy anything from quickfit regardless of price - but that is another story!

Jase,

do you have the details of the place in Tonbridge - it's not too far from me so could be worth a call.

Thanks
Rob
