S3 Doesnt Stand A Chance

I have a My01/02 WRX, with a PPP. Now without the PPP, my Scooby is meant to be slower than the S3, right?? I know that with my PPP i can take one easily, but yesterday took the p**s, I had just fitted my new ScoobySport Downpipe, so was testing it out, was on a dual carriage way, then pulled in to the 2nd lane for a bit, just to calm down (going around 50mph) then I see this green S3 surge past and I heard its engine scream. So i pulled out and started the chase, i caught up almost straight away, then he pulled over to let me pass, so I let go of the accelerator, then he comes up my **** I put my foot down and go all the way up to 130mph, and he was left trailing!!! Much fun

Much debate as to whether an un modded MY01/02 is slower than an S3. I thought a bog standard MY02 was slightly quicker, but that was versus a 210bhp S3 - don't forget early versions had only 210 and were therefore slower.
There was an early My01 head to head of one of these in a mag. The WRX is faster 0-60, but once off the line, there was sod all of consequence in it. Put a PPP and de-cat on it, I'm not surprised you'd win. Chip the S3 to 260 bhp and it would be close again

Hello Mr policeman - I solemly swear that I, on Tuesday the first of April this year - did happen to attain the speed of 224 MPH for a period of not less than 14 minutes on the M1.

As Mr Nathan says, Its best to keep your mad moments to yourself or the track, but Ill definatley give you a 'nod' If I see yers!
I dont actaully live around there anymore, but my folks still live in Wythall, and their driveway makes an excellent carpark!
