Coming in this morning, I kinda thought it was gonna be a little busy cos of the commonwealth games in manchester....... I joined the M6 slip road @ Middlewich....and saw the traffic and thought to myself...........**** that !! Hit the hard shoulder and reversed back about 100yards back to the roundabout then had a back road through Knutsford, Ashley and eventually Wilmslow joining the M56 there.......the slip road, I dont know if any of you guys know it, but its one of them 450 degree left handers.....I was basically going round it accelerating gently and sliding a bit as I was approaching a Brand Spanker Black M3.......then I noticed that he started to accelerate cos his back end started twitching...... I thought Oi oi...... the gauntlets down......... then I got him onto the outside lane of the M56........ weh heh....out accelerating an M3....... well, either that, or I had bigger nads than him joining the motorway

Had a pop at a new Carrera yesterday. Sitting at lights on a roundabout, new he was going for it as he had ripped round to the lights in the first place. Sitting behind him, lights turned and off he went. I followed, and managed to pull up along side him by about 70mph, stayed there until about 80 then my pooper went as its a 60 limit and 80 is plenty. I slowed down and off he went into the distance, god knows what speed he got up to, but I am happy in the knowlege that I out accelerated a big fat new porsche.

In the last 2 weeks I have made a New M3, Ferrari 355 F1, Maserati 3200GT and an Evo 6 disbeleive the power of the Scoob!
Also almost had a run with an FQ300 last night but too much traffic
Come on the Scoob!

What mods have you guys got as I often have a pop at the above mentioned cars on the A34 bypass, havent came out on top against a new Carrera, F355 or M3 and I can drive a bit with MY01 with K&N & SS BB. Only at the roundabouts can I catch them up a bit.

You wonder why Scoobs are starting to get a reputation, reversing up a slip road........only 1 word tw@t. Racing everything in sight........big deal, do you care if your quicker or slower than something else. Next time someone posts that their Nova wasted a Scoob I hope you won't slag them off as it is clear Scoobs are quicker than 355's, 911's bah blah blah.

Scoobydoo... it seems you have a fair bit of aggression in your post.... I didn't see until after i posted....
Not that you was being personal but whats to say I race everything in sight??? The cars I have mentioned all came racing up to me bar the M3.
Do I care if my car is quicker than others... well yeah.. I bought and modded my Scoob as I want to own a car that goes very well! For me call me sad but its nice to know I spent x on my motor and it goes better that say another car which costs xx.
I dont jump on any posts slagging people for racing as that would be hypacritical! (excuse spelling)
rant over.

0-60 OK I agree, after 60, 0-100, 1/4 mile etc will not be comparible. My Daihatsu Avanzato TRxx-R4 659CC 4wd Turbo is quicker to 30 than my RB5WR, does that mean its quicker !?!?

Plantie,
Nothing personal mate I've seen your car at the Sussex meets and the money you've spent certainly makes it stand out against my RB5. Not only having a bad day at work but to read about someone reversing up a slip road that could potentially kill numerous people does annoy me. We all have little "plays" with other cars but unfortunately there are posts everyday on Scoobynet about it.
Gets a bit boring after a while

C'mon guys (and girls), surely this isn't a forum for having a pop at each other. And I'm sure we all break the highway code in our own little ways so don't throw the first stone unless your name is Mary eh ? (anyone not seen the Life of Brian ?).
Point taken about the increase in juvinille owners though.... mainly speeding around housing estates?

Scooby, read my original post, you have just agreed with it in full!!!!!
I gave a description of exactly what happened in one situation with a Carrera.
Would I swap cars given the chance, every day of the week. Is the Carrera a better car, every day of the week.
The real point I was getting at was Bosses comment on
snip..
If any of the above had been trying you wouldn't ahve seen them for dust
...snip
This is a truely inaccurate pants statement.
As for this..
snip...

...snip
It means it quicker to 30, what else can I say, see you in the Muppet Forum

Ok ok..... it seems like I'm starting to get a slating for reversing up the slip road......... I think most of you guys are picturing something of "Britains worst Drivers"
Maybe I overexadgerated my decsription........ my reverse manouver was basically enough to turn my wheels and continue round the roundabout......... If I owned a Hackney Carrage with their turning circle, I wouldn't have even needed to select reverse......these Type R's having hardly any turning circle (unless you light up the rear tyres)
[start rant]
I refuse to start a debate over whos right and wrong cos I remember these bickering e-mails form the ClubGTI forum I used to be on for Golfs when I owned a 20v Turbo Mk2.....basically people were saying that, "My cars faster than yours !" Usual Kev Boy racers comments (I'm NOT having a go)
I like to think of myself as a Good, Observant driver who always looks ahead and I haven't had any accidents, points or producers in the 7 years I have been driving (touch wood - i'm gonna keep it that way)
[rant over]
Lets keep this a forum with no bickering eh.....i've seen too many end up shutting down cos of bad feeling (just trying to stop a problem before it starts)
Anyway......since when have Scoobies started getting a bad name ??? Where have I been ? When did this happen ??
