WORRIED

HI ALL
I've had a MY'97 now for 11 weeks, may have lost my license, and now the scoob is lurching and losing power momentarily when i accelerate.
I'm hoping it just needs a tune up.Any ideas?
ps,why is my mate in his pug 205 1.9 GTI keeping up with me?

Why does it matter, if you're losing your licence?
Sorry, couldn't resist... - it was Dom's fault.
Seriously, your description of problem is too vague. If you can give more detail I'm sure someone can help you.

yeah cheers for that dom and dave, thing is i'm still waiting for the summons so i'm trying to make the most of it.
basically the car seems to lose power only for a couple of seconds or so,when i accelerate hard, and when on the motorway in fifth, when i lift off the gas, weird really, seems ok today though, its a bit temperemental.
mate in his pug, seems to be quite pleased though, seeing as he didn't have the bottle to race me when he had a 300 zx twin turbo!!

I wouldn't be too surprised about the 1.9, I have a 1.6 Fiesta si and whilst I get blown away on the straights I can give Scoobs a seriously hard time in the twisty bits as proved on a couple of meets now
