Angry

Barrets £430
SpringPark £390
Lancaster £510

These all seem a bit high to me, anyone tell me why or got cheaper, no cambelt change so why the high cost?? I know there's a lot of oil and stuff but still...

Mine was £430 less SIDC discount at Sparshatts... expensive, but the car felt sooooo good afterwards. They do all the fluids basically, and spark plugs too.

I can dig out a comprehensive list of what they did if you want.

Simon.

Red face

Jeepers!

I paid £320.65 all in at Fenny Compton near Banbury. I know labour rates vary across the country but I reckon these guys are taking the michael.

Cheers

2 year includes plugs - which is relatively labour intensive, and other bits n bobs, airfilter, brake fluid yadda yadda yadda.
Bugger ain't it?
Be a devil and insist they let you supply oil and brake fluid.
Take it easy,
Chuck

I have just this morning booked mine in at Farmers in Matlock. They quoted £320 inc.

The service manager did say that plugs and fuel filter were what hiked the price up from a 'normal' service.Even so ,this sounds cheap compared to your quotes.

Cool

Body service is supposed to be performed at the end of years 1,3 and 5 and is required to keep the anti corrosion warranty. Basically what they do is check the underseal on the bottom of the car and spray some more waxoyl into the doors, boot, bonnet etc.

The body service is there to produce extra revenue for the dealer, after all when did you last see a rusty one??

5hite, just had my 30k service today (at 24k, natch, because I bought my MY99 at 10k with the 15k service done), and paid a total of £648 - new pads and wheel alignment added up, but basic was still £430. Rang around and £430 was the cheapest I could find, but I do live near London.

So... where can one get wheel alignment done properly but cheaper (£54+VAT)?

Mind you, I did get a Legacy 2.5GX for the day. Throttle response is better than my UK Turbo...

I paid £220, not including the cost of filter or brake fluid, everything else inc VAT was included in that.
