Question

Wind up or best kept secret?

I've heard from a few people that there are a number of accessible disused airfields hidden away in various places around the country. Of course there's no chance that anyone who knows of such a mythical pot of gold would let on, but I'm desperate to give the new scoob a proper punishing off the highway.

Does anyone know if such places exist - is it worth pursuing or am I getting my slide-hungry hopes up???

Not being one to disagree with you Dave, but I went to Oakington (after Danbury )to spy out the lie of the land (as it were) for up-coming track days. Seems that it is certainly "regulated" by the local council - so it is they who have the say as to what goes etc.

I must have missed you then Puff, I got there about 1.30pm for a good look round, took some video footage of a full lap and then came home. Looks like it will be a great track once they sort out the few minor problems.
