Didn't look at the wheels.....to busy cowering behind the pit wall trying to stop my ears bleeding

Very distinctive noise though.

Were there any other de catted ppp's out there?

Couldn't agree more Mikey. I was thinking more F16 than Scoob coming out of the hairpin on the loop in the afternoon session.

Cool

Well, not DBM but PTMW! too got the same comment

By Davyboy with an explanation by Mick

I guess Greg's might've been a wee bit louder than mine as PTMW! is PPP only.

[Note to self - listen out for Gregh's motah under full chat ]

I have the White MY01, gold wheels, BFO spoiler. (the one there are no pics of on track )

If it was you, soz, I usually get out of the way pretty quick. I noticed whoever it was closed up pretty good on the brakes, I then noticed they had AP 6 pots.

Chris

Your a$$ is gra$$ if they're no pics of me

Where was you hiding anyway? Never saw you all day

The thing about a PPP is that there is b'all noise at low revs, a light rumble under half load & whistlin' demons under full chat I'm really glad I had that over SS (sorry Pete) as it fulfils my requirement of "stealth" car

The DBM car you're talking about belongs to Mr Jon Parsons. (Number plate was ScoobyJ) It does sound like a jet engine on full chat and is producing around the 300bhp mark.It was out on track mid morning so if it's around that time you saw it then that's the car you're referring to. (Was sittin nice and low due to it's Leda suspension, also had race tyres too)
Sadly he blew the turbo on it on the day!!!!

Nick

P.S: Forgot to mention it's an MY01

You can say that again, they are the new silver

That jet engine sounding scoob was shifting and bloody loud I was staring for ages trying to work out which car it was, I kept saying it couldn't be a scoob but it was

I have heard PPP scoobs before, they sound nothing like that thing

What exactly is done to it to make it sound like that??????

I thought the DBM classic shape that sounded like a jet had a private plate, something like ****MX. Who's going to own up to having this car?

Mark.

remembering that sound makes me feel nauseous from just reading this thread - its all come rushing back to me.

Not being a conspiracy theorist but I reckon the whole Donnington event could have been a cover up for a top secret test of the jet powered MY03?
