Sorry to hear about your scoob , I'll keep an eye out while driving around west yorks. Just turned the anti-hijacking system on in my car, bit of a pain in the **** to keep entering the code but at least they can't nick my baby even with the keys.

Hope you get her back ok

That sucks big time Amanda, just before Staffs Meet 1 as well.

Did anything come of having a stolen car register on here?

Theiving to$$ers, but this should be a lesson to us all, NEVER leave ya keys at home unless you are there to guard them!! & NEVER leave ya keys in or close to your front door!! the scoob aeriel is very useful at lifting keys off hooks and off tables visible through letter boxes!!

Damn!!!!!!!!! Another one

Sorry to hear that. I'm in Portugal, so no use in help, except moral support. If you find them, beat the c**** out of them !

It's really starting to p*ss me off. If things keep going this way, I will end up getting some personal protection. anybody know how to install punk zappers in a car ? a 10000 volt discharge should disuade most people from getting the car far !

Amanda - Sorry to hear this. This happened to me in March, so I know there is nothing I can say to cheer you up. Once the police have gone and you have started the ball rolling with insurance etc, cheer yourself up by organising test drives in every kind of exotica you can find. Alternatively go and get completely drunk. The urge to kill these scumbags will go away after a few weeks.

Scoobabe, I'm distraught for you hun, I'll get the lads from work tomorrow and give them your registration (if that is ok) and I'll ask them to keep their eyes peeled, If it has come South, we might just might see it on the motorway or somewhere, Keep smiling hun, I know it is easy for me to say but we will do what we can to help.
Cheers
Colin.
BTW......I'm a postman and a lot of the lads go up and down the M1 motorway, in their lorries and vans.

No joy yesterday, but the police felt that it was likely to turn up, as quite a few had done recently. I am not optomistic really, but would really appreciate your acute "spotter" eyes out there for the next couple of days

Thanks!

Matty, glad you got yours back, seems as if trackers are useful.
M....like the graphic, how do you do that, and how much I would like to do this in real life!
Colin you're a star, more scooby spotters, yes!
When I told my mates down the pub last night about the response from you all some of them stared welling up, they think you sound great, mad (like me), but great! They're not mad of course!

Cheers, Amanda

Oh no, I think you are a far more deserving case
Hang on a min while I look in my little back bag....pulls out needle and syringe...draws up medication... heads for your gluteus maximus...
OH NO. I've just had to stop myself there! Ive just realised that I was enjoying myself too much. God thats worrying!
Seriously though all the best people are a bit mad.
Trying to keep my chin up best I can, replying to you is helping

Amanda, chin up indeed is the best I can give you

With notices on the bbs - like yours - I sometimes wonder if the world has changed slightly around us while we were enjoying our cars (and hard earned).

I'm trying to see it all in perspective - and not cry for draconian measures - but the, um, less than honest folks seem to get closer and closer all the time.

Anywayz ...

Fast bloke gave the best advice already

Stick something over in the Midlands forum and I'm sure somebody will oblige. At present I'm coming down from Stoke with ChrisP (and possibly Michelle if her car isn't back), unless this weekends Scooby shopping comes up trumps.

I'll have a drink with you on the 17th, as it's my birthday on the 16th (assuming I'm feeling fine )

hey amanda,

you know me, if I get sight of the car, you can bet i aint gonna worry bout no speed limit, catch em...no damage to you car mind, and beat the f***ers to a pulp.

Meanwhile sleeping with my keys, garage door re-enforced, baseball bat at hand.....come on then....scooby nutters fight back...

meanwhile in the real world, the test drive's sound good, and a tracker is seeming more appealing, especially as the resale values have gone down dramatically in the last year...you know insurance is gonna stiff you, I suggest, people if you don't mind, we all keep our eye's out for some good machines, at good prices, let our babe here know where she can get her best deal, amanda, let us know how much you get to spend if it don't get found....f***ers.

sorry, too many beers , gone on again.....
