Hey Swiss

A word of advice from a very happy PD7 Anthracite owner.

Don't car wash them, use a non detergent car shampoo. And NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER use wheels cleaners.

My wheels now 15000miles in and unmarked have been waxed using Wax Wizard (really makes them shine), and occasionally clay barred to remove stubborn tar.

I’ve been on numerous track days and the brake dust just wipes off.

Enjoy Scooby dude

After a long wait, I can finally pick-up my set of PD7's in anthracite at my local dealer today (I could already touch them yesterday, yyyeeessss!!!!) Now I have a couple of questions about the wheels:
- Do the original wheel-nuts fit or should I use otherones?
- Should I fix the center Cap by myself, I don't really trust the dealer (probably uses hammer)?
- Is it dangerous to clean the alloys in public car-wash garages (lukewarm high pressure hose), I don't really want this Prodrive-Logo to come off?

You can hardly imagine how lucky I feel today!! And the Bridgestone S-03 will be there too, yyyupiieee!! It's just to bad that it is raining today!
Cheers

The wheel is designed to use the original wheel nuts.

The best way to fit the caps as they are quite tight, is to fit the plastic cap before sticking the logo into it. You may need to help it in with a tap from a rubber mallet unless you have Superman's fingers or don't mind bruises on your hands!

The finish of the wheel is quite tough but treat it in the same way as the rest of the cars paintwork.

Hello MRK,
It was your car pictures in the gallery that helped me ALOT for my wheel-decision!! All my collegues told me to get the silver version. After the fitting yesterday evening I could prove them that the anthracite version looks fantastic, and they (oh wonder) agreed!!

Thanks for your advice about cleaning the wheels!! Too bad that I already bought a wheel cleaner (for nothing). How long have you run the tires in, do you remember?? I read in previous threats, that the Prodrive-Sticker-Badge (not the plastic cap itself) doesn't last that long. Any advice in this matter, maybe 'super-glue'??
I am only asking this, because I want to be prepared when they seem to come off.
Thanks again for your and Mikes (Woods) advice!!!
Cheers from a super-happy-m8!!
